Dorothea Vernice Burkhead Mobley, 88, of Gravel Ridge left her earthly home to be with her Lord in heaven on May 5, 2008. She was a long-time member of the Sylvan Hills Community Church and lived her life dedicated to her Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville A. Mobley, and two sons, Richard L. Mobley of Dardanelle, and David A. Mobley of Gravel Ridge. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Cia and husband Jim of Little Rock; Shelby Barker and husband Larry of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and one son, Terry Mobley and wife Kay of Sherwood; ten grandchildren, Alan Mobley of Aurora, Colorado, David Mobley Jr. of Jonesboro, Angela Dunaway of Conway, Terry Don Mobley of Falls Church, Virginia, Amanda Armstrong of North Little Rock, Maribeth Miller of Dardanelle, Michael Cia of Little Rock, Meredith Quillman, Matthew Barker and Benjamin Barker, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma and twelve great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday at Cato Cemetery with Rev. Paul Rice officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
