Dorlisa Carol Varner

Dorlisa Carol Varner, age 56, of Alpine, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020. She was born on January 22, 1964 in Arkadelphia, the daughter of Gerald Taylor and Doris Gray Taylor. On November 27, 1981, she was married to Joey Varner. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chad Taylor. Dorlisa enjoyed baking, cooking. sewing and fishing. She loved taking care of her family, especially her grandbabies. She attended Grace Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Joey Varner; three children and their spouses, Ella and Brandon Carpenter, Kim and Clint Arnold, and Marty and Kayla Varner, all of Alpine; eight grandchildren, Noah Carpenter, Chloe Arnold, Ryan Carpenter, Kade Arnold, Casen Arnold, Maylee Varner, Charli Rose Arnold and Ki Varner; one more grandbaby on the way; her parents, Gerald and Doris Taylor of Amity; two brother and one sister-in-law, Terry Taylor of Glenwood and Jerry and Laura Taylor of Alpine; her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 11, 2020, in the Coker Cemetery with Bro. Gerald Ward officiating. Pallbearers will be Ritchie Richardson, Dale Richardson, Loyd Pittman, Dennis Ward, Glen Partain and Mark Partain. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
