Doris Allene Harrell Witcher, 97, of Monticello passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012. She was born and raised in Cato, Arkansas and then moved to North Little Rock where she spent the majority of her years raising her family. She spent her latter years in Monticello close to her family. She was a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church, the Ladies Organizations in Monticello and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Dwight Leo Witcher and wife, Sherri, of Tillar, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Clay Witcher, Cary Witcher, Justin Witcher and Kristi Ferguson; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ashley, Devon, Madison, Colton and Zaynlee Witcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leo Witcher and son, Larry James Witcher.
Memorials may be made to Cato Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Cato Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
