Doris Rasnic

December 15, 1935 — November 10, 2024

Hot Springs, AR

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Doris Marlene Rasnic, 88, who left us on November 10, 2024, at her home on Lake Hamilton, surrounded by her family. She was a woman of immense kindness, wisdom and humor, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones.

Marlene was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on December 15, 1935, to Maggie and Clifford Million. She married her longtime sweetheart, Charles Richard Rasnic, on August 23, 1958, and became a devoted Air Force wife; traveling to numerous states throughout the country during his military career. She was a loving mother of two, and when her children were older, she achieved her Accredited Records Technician certification in 1976, spending the next forty years employed predominantly at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.
She was a faithful member of Piney Grove Church and the Rainbow Sunday school class. Marlene loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends, often in the kitchen cooking for those she loved. She and her sister Mildred were not only siblings, but best friends and neighbors; getting together every day and sharing events that always included hearty laughter. She and Richard were avid dog lovers, taking in a number of neighborhood strays through the years and giving them safe haven at the family residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four sisters, and three brothers.

She is survived by her son Russ Rasnic (Marisa) of Hot Springs, AR, her daughter Caylene Rasnic of Denver, CO, sister Virginia Bozich, granddaughters, Kelli Ray (Zac), Lexi Rasnic, three great grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on November 18, 2024 at Piney Grove Church, 2963 Airport Road, Hot Springs. Visitation at 9:00 a.m., service at 10:00 and burial to follow at 1:00 at Arkansas Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Little Rock.
