Doris B. Price, 94, of Hot Springs, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, D.F. Price, Jr.; her parents, Heber and Lora Markham; and three siblings, Inez Porter, Billy Markham and Janet Shakra.

 

She is survived by her children, Brenda Price (Jim Weaver), of Tucson, AZ., Anita Moore (Jim), of Hot Springs, Danna Sue Reves (Jim), of Batesville, Dennis Price (Roxanne), of Ventress, LA., Larry Price (Dixie), of Russellville and Carol Seese (Richard), of Searcy; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

 

Doris was born June 27, 1927, in Amarillo, Texas. She married D.F. Price, Jr., in 1944, in Polk County. She spent most of her career working for the Department of Human Services, and she retired from the Department of Human Services in Benton, in the mid-1980’s. After the passing of her husband, Doris moved from Russellville to Hot Springs, in 2000, and she resided in Hot Springs for the rest of her life.

 

She was a member of the West Hot Springs Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her hobbies included working in her flower garden, where she especially enjoyed growing roses. Doris also loved to travel. After her retirement, she took every opportunity to travel, making trips to Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, Maine, and the Caribbean.

 

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Smith Family Funeral Home Hot Springs Chapel. Doris will be interred next to her husband at Rest Haven Memorial Park, in Russellville.
