Doris Cornelius

Doris Cornelius, 84, of East End, passed away May 9, 2015. She was born April 5, 1931 in Bynum, Texas to James and Martha Taylor Isbell. Doris was a homemaker and a member of East End Baptist Church.

Doris is survived by her husband of 68 years, Homer Cornelius; sons, Johnny Cornelius and Dennis (Evelyn) Cornelius; two grandchildren, Dennis Shane Cornelius (Donyalle) and Shauna Borrero (Axel); great-grandchildren, Kameron and Lexie; and sister, Marilyn Radke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Genell Owens, Joy Isbell, Melba Waller, Lowayne Pollard and Marie Adams.

Memorials may be made to the Gideons International or East End Baptist Audio/Visual Fund.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the East End Baptist Church, 4701 East End Road. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon at the church. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Online obituary and guest book at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
