Doris Marie Scott Brown, 78, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009. She was born to the late Walter and Betty Scott on April 17, 1930 in England, Arkansas. She was a member of Lynch View Baptist Church and employed for 20 years at Wicks and Wax Gifts in North Little Rock. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gene; brothers, Rayborn, Coy, Leo, Marvin, Morris and W.B. Scott; and her sister, Fay Haynie. Survivors include her husband, Allen Brown; two daughters, Vicki Klutts and Betty Bihm(Elson); two grandchildren, Stacey Klutts (Becky) and Leslie Jubran (Elias); five great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Lynch View Baptist Church, P.O. Box 17836, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117 or Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Ray Raines and Rev. Bill Rambo officiating. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
