Dora Lane

Dora Nell Bizzell Lane, 77, of Sherwood passed away, Tuesday, February 16. She was born November 2, 1932 at Morrilton, Arkansas to Sallie Lee Ruff Bizzell and Everett Bizzell. She married February 2, 1963 at the Washington Avenue Methodist Church, North Little Rock by Rev. Aaron F. Barling, to James William Lane of Little Rock. No children were born of this marriage.
Dora retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Little Rock. She was baptized into the Christian faith and joined the Methodist Church in 1945 in Morrilton. She later moved her membership to Washington Avenue United Methodist Church in North Little Rock and joined the Levy United Methodist Church in 1980 where she was on the worship committee and serviced as the chairperson of the Evangelism Committee.
She served as a hospital volunteer at Baptist Health System, North and St. Vincent Medical Center, North in the Surgery and ICU waiting room.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Helen Fern Bizzell and Edith Faye Bizzell Anderson.
Survivors include husband, Jim Lane; nephews, Robert Anderson (Linda) of Heber Springs and Jim (Faye) Anderson of Sherwood; one niece Lee Nell Brewer (Eddie) of North Little Rock.
Memorials may be made to Levy United Methodist Church, 701 West 47th Street, North Little Rock.
Interment service will be at 9:30 AM Friday, Rest Hills Memorial Park. Memorial service will be at 10:30 AM Friday, Levy United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wedaman officiating. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00P Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. On line obituary and guest register www.nlrfh.com.
