Donnie Alvin Earls, Sr., 72, of Hensley, passed away June 14, 2020 with his family at his side. Born in Fate, Texas to Troy and Frances Pulk Earls, he retired from Martin-Marietta after 16 years of service. He was a member of East End Assembly of God.
Carrying on his family's love for music, he was a passionate blue grass musician, playing the guitar, bass and drums for over 30 years. He also loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Earls; son, Donnie Earls, Jr. (Karen); grandchildren, Jonathan, Valerie, Ariel, Chase, Conner, Madelyn, and Bethany; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Reba Matthews, Grady Earls, Wayne Earls, Charles Earls, Kevin Earls and Lori Earls; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Troy Earls, and siblings, Kathy, Jana and Jay.
Services will be Saturday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., at East End Assembly of God, officiated by Bro. Bob Minick. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East End Assembly of God, 21608 N. Springlake Rd., Hensley, AR 72065.
