Donna Mae Turner

Donna Mae Turner, age 93, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022, in Arkadelphia. 

She was born on March 12, 1929, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late John and Lesta M. Caley Bartrom. She was a member of the Murfreesboro First Baptist Church and was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother. 

On July 6, 1950, she married her beloved husband of 55 years, Leonard Doyce Turner. He passed away on April 4, 2006. 

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Linda and Nicky Ballard of Murfreesboro, David Turner of Hope and Tina and Stoy Holland of O’Fallon, Missouri; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly and Jerry Hile, Lori Ross, Sara and Justin Mitchell, Mark Holland and his fiancé Hailey, Cody Holland, Luke Holland, and Caley Holland; six great-grandchildren; and half-brother Dennis Kelly and his wife, Jennie of North Carolina. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Alan Turner and one sister, Jean Redding.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm preceding the 3:00 pm funeral service at Murfreesboro First Baptist Church. Brother Charlie Williams will officiate. 

Interment will be in the Murfreesboro Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood. 

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Mark Holland, Cody Holland, Luke Holland, Brennan Hile, Hampton Hile and Turner Ross.

Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughter and great-grandsons, Caley Holland, Maddox Mitchell, Nicholas Mitchell and Garrett Ross.

The family extends a special thank you to The Plaza Assisted Living and Twin Rivers Health and Rehab for their love and care.
