Donna Sue Leslie was born on December 22, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she began her journey filled with passion and a zest for life. She pursued education diligently and achieved certification as an x-ray technician. Not stopping there, Donna furthered her academic pursuits and earned a culinary degree from Pulaski Technical College, a testament to her dedication and thirst for knowledge.
A woman of many talents and interests, Donna's vibrant personality shone through in everything she did. Her love for Coca-Cola was well-known to all who knew her, always seen with a can in hand. She adored Elvis Presley, particularly his gospel music, finding solace and joy in his timeless melodies. A true bookworm at heart, Donna found joy in sharing her favorite reads with friends and neighbors, spreading the gift of storytelling wherever she went.
Christmas held a special place in Donna's heart - her favorite holiday where she cherished family gatherings and cozy moments watching classic Christmas movies like "White Christmas." Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she poured her love into crafting beautiful keepsakes for them. A talented crafter herself, Donna knitted, crocheted, and created exquisite scrapbooks filled with precious memories. Her generosity extended beyond her family as she crocheted hats for children at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
On May 3, 2024, Donna Sue Leslie peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who knew her. She is survived by her loving son Jared Meadows and his wife Dawn of Benton, Arkansas; daughter Heather Brewer and her husband Jeff of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren Jared Adam Meadows Jr., Olivia Meadows, and Jade Rorie; great-granddaughter Lilith Fedor; brother Tommy Leslie and his wife Debbie of Cabot, Arkansas; along with numerous other relatives and friends who were touched by Donna's warmth.
Donna was preceded in death by her son, Jack "Deacon" Meadows; and parents, Don and Sue Leslie.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 8, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by funeral service,officiated by Bro. Cameron Albert, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 9 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
