Donna Williams

Donna Charlene Williams, 75, of Mabelvale, went to be with her Lord on September 14, 2014 after losing her battle with cancer. Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Louise (Bryant) Cantrell, daughter, Janet McLaughlin, grandson, Whitney Carden, son, Joey Williams and father, Walter Cantrell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Billy Williams. They were married at Ironton Baptist Church on December 23, 1956. Charlene is lovingly remembered by her son, Randy Williams of Bauxite; daughter, Bonnie Kirby of Mabelvale; grandson, Justin Carden who she raised following the death of his mother; ten additional grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ellen Sue Brown of Jacksonville, Linda Dollar of Conway, Sheena Hare of Mayflower and Gail Chance of Enola; along with many other family and friends and those who called her Grandma.

Charlene loved her family and devoted her life as wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a friend to all. She was active in her church, Olive Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Mabelvale. She enjoyed cake decorating and sewing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Wednesday, September 17 at 1:30 p.m. at Olive Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 14514 Chicot Rd., Mabelvale, officiated by Rev. Randy Hester. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
