Donald “Donnie” Gene Hout, 78, of McRae, Arkansas went to be with his wonderful wife Connie Hout in Heaven on February 8, 2021 surrounded by his family. Donald was born in Denver, Colorado to the late Donald Fireoved Hout and Florence Jean Malone.
Donnie was a veteran having served our country in the Army and the Marine Corps from 1960 until 1965 receiving an Honorable Discharge.
He started his long career as a Long-Haul truck driver for over 60 years and loved doing it. Still after retiring form Land-O-Frost in Searcy, Arkansas, he always wanted to get back to driving but instead he settled down on his farm. He raised his cattle and horses and worked really hard to take care of them. When he wasn’t out riding his four-wheeler or cutting wood, he was enjoying his sidekick Henry (dog). Wherever Donnie was, Henry was too.
Donnie is survived by his daughters: Brandi (Eddy) Brock, Stacy (Windle) Flowers, Regina Hout, and Caren (Brian) Roberts; his nine grandchildren, Ethan, McKayla, and Joseph Brock; Kimberly Hicks, Shelby Dossy, Colton Irvine, Amber Frierer, and Ashley and Branelyn Roberts, and by six great-grandchildren.
Donnie leaves behind a lot of happy memories and will be forever missed.
A Visitation Tribute will be held to Celebrate Donnie’s Life from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe.
