Donald Joe Wood, age 79 of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away July 1, 2014. He was born on September 10, 1934 in Little Rock Arkansas; he was the son of Louise Kaufman Wood and Clarence Wood.
Donald Wood was a Recreation Therapist for at Fort Roots VA Hospital for 30 years. He was a member of VFW, BJ Garner Deer Camp, and enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Louise Kaufman Wood and father Clarence Wood.
Survivors include children Harold William Wood, Kevin Scott Wood, Darryl Henry Wood, Theresa Ann (Wood) Romine, and Carolyn Lea (Wood) Hemker; grandchildren Ryan Louis, Kristen Wood, Brittany Wood , Donald Joseph (DJ) Wood, John Jacob Wood, Elissa Ann Romine, David Chase Romine, and Parker Scott Hemker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on July 3, 2014 at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery at 1501 West Maryland Avenue in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Huson Funeral Home at 7700 Highway 107 in Sherwood, Arkansas .
