Donald Welsh

Donald Kip Welsh, age 55, of Higden, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical System in Little Rock. He was born February 4, 1961 at Little Rock to Donald Gilbert and Mavis Arlene Birkhead Welsh. He loved to hunt, fish and listen to music, especially classical rock. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lowell and Corela Birkhead and William and Cleo Welsh.

Survivors include his parents, Don and Mavis Welsh of Maumelle; one daughter, Brandi Maddock (Brent) of Searcy; one son, Jason Kip Welsh of North Little Rock; one sister, Roxanne Harper (Wayne) of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Kelsey Verser of Russellville, Kyla Welsh of Jacksonville, Alyssa Ammons of Texas, Damien Welsh of North Little Rock; one uncle, Dean Birkhead (Janis) of Dardanelle; one niece, Holly Godwin of Pine Bluff; one nephew, Jordan Harper of Pine Bluff and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday, 10:00A.M. to 11:00A.M. at Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel prior to the service. Burial will be in Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to your local Humane Society.

Pallbearers will be Tim Welsh, Jeff Hunt, James Pruss, Larry Pruss, Tommy Pruss.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynn Pruss, Felix Pruss, Bailey Hunt, Bedford Hunt.
