Donald Wayne Reynolds, age 73, of Royal, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
He was born on March 3, 1948, in Hot Springs, the son of James Ernest Reynolds and Pauline Thomason Reynolds. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Johnny Reynolds and one sister-in-law, Patricia Reynolds.
Don was a Christian in his faith and a member of Rector Heights Baptist Church. He was a youth pastor for many years at Antioch Baptist Church. He was a former president of Hot Springs Home Builder’s Association, working many years as a carpenter and contractor, and he was a perfectionist in everything he did. Don loved classic cars, hunting, westerns and his grandchildren. He had a self-deprecating sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Scarlett Reynolds; his son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Tomi Jo Reynolds of Royal; his daughter and son-in-law, Lea Ellen and Randy West of Wimberly, Texas; his stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Kody and Kim Henderson of Hot Springs; his stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Natika and Eric Porter of Pearcy; two grandchildren, Oliva West and Haylea Reynolds; three stepgrandchildren, Maddox Porter, Rhett Porter and Charlee Henderson; his brother and sister-in-law, James Mickey and Beverly Jan Reynolds of Russellville; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Burial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Sunshine.
Pallbearers will be Kody Henderson, Eric Porter, Billy Williams and Tommy Chadick.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Gregory Whorten, the staff of Kindred Hospice, Mike Christy, Ritchie Calley, Mike Chesshir, Joe Smith, Gary West and Hugh Albright.
