Donald Shahan
Donald Ray Shahan, 75, of Sherwood, passed away December 23, 2013. He was born in Marlow, Oklahoma to Raymond and Merle J. Turner Shahan. He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He also retired from Hugg & Hall after 20 years. The Oklahoma Sooners have lost a huge fan.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Beatrice "Bea" Heaslet Shahan; daughter, Kathleen Shahan; son, Raymond K. Shahan and wife, Jamie, all of Sherwood; five grandchildren, Lindsey Brewer (Alan), Justin Shahan (Rosalie), Emily Musick (Brian), Christopher Shahan and Casey Shahan; and five great-grandchildren, Oren, Ella, Silas, Easten and Oliver.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Sherwood Funeral Home, 7515 Warden Rd., Sherwood. Graveside services with full Military Honors will follow at 12:00 Noon at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, officiated by Pastor Steve Hess. Memorials may be made to the Sherwood Animal Shelter, 6500 North Hills Blvd., Sherwood, AR 72120.
