Donald R. Eggerman, age 85, of Hot Springs, passed away, Thursday, September 23, 2021.
He was born on December 17, 1935, in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of James Amos Eggerman and Edith Whitington Eggerman.
Donald was Christian in his faith and a member of Pearcy Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting with his church family. On December 17, 1990, his retirement flag that was presented to Donald, was flown over the United States Capitol in his honors retiring from the United States Air Force as a Lt. Colonel; at the time of his entry in June of 1956, he resided in Glenwood, Arkansas. Thank you for your service! In addition, his civilian occupation was a Commercial Airline Pilot. Donald was an avid volunteer at Garvan Woodland Gardens of Hot Springs, he dearly loved working there and admiring the beautiful surroundings. Donald will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donald is survived by his son, Brian Eggerman of Texas; his three daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Tony Blumenberg of Charleston, South Carolina, Stacey Eggerman of Crockett, Texas and Jana and Robert Morris of Laughlin, Nevada; two grandchildren, Taylor Blumenberg and Jordan Morris; his sister, Ellen Smith of Nevada; and many good friends in the Hot Springs and Pearcy area.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 28, 2021, in Pearcy Baptist Church with Pastor Phillip Millard officiating, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday evening at the funeral home.
