Donald Nofsinger

Donald Arthur Nofsinger, 64, of Little Rock, Arkansas died January 31, 2008. Don was born September 18, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dorrel and Mildred Nofsinger. After graduating from Raytown High School, Raytown, Missouri, in 1961, Don joined the US Air Force in 1963. After two and a half years in service as a cryptographer at the Little Rock Air Force Base, he was honorably discharged and began his family business life. Don spent 40 years in the office equipment business, retiring in Little Rock in 2005. His exceptional knowledge of machines and their operations made him a master technician and teacher. Over his many years in management, he trained numerous techs in the trade.
Don was a true Arkansas outdoorsman, loving camping, hunting and fishing. Don also could be found along third baseline at the Arkansas Travelers games, scorecard in one hand, hot dog in the other. For Arkansas Razorback football games, you would find him tailgating with friends somewhere near War Memorial Stadium. He was also an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. He admired Harley Davidson motorcycles and dreamed of cruising on his own Harley, all decked out in leathers. Don also challenged himself and others on-line with card games on POGO.
Don was preceded in death by dearly loved parents, Dorrel and Mildred Nofsinger. Don is survived by sons and daughter, Mike Nofsinger and life partner, Donny Moore of Lowell, Arkansas, and Kenneth, Barry and Patricia. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Sidebottom and family of Grandview, Missour; half-brother, Leon Nofsinger and family of Olathe, Kansas; half-sister, Ann Averill and family of Wellsville, Kansas as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Don is also survived by his God-daughter, Wendy Kaye Meadows and good friends, Michael and LeRoy Hayes of Little Rock.
Thank you, Don, for your love and friendship. Everyone you touched was enriched and blessed to know you. Know always that you will be missed but that we will meet again...In The Light.
