Donald Mason

Donald "Don" Eugene Mason, 77, of Benton, Arkansas went to be with our Lord on February 16, 2018. He was born February 15, 1941 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Elmer and Emily Annas (Reed) Mason.
Don proudly served in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Don worked at Westinghouse for over twenty-five years. He was a member of the Benton Four Square Church and loved his church family with all his heart. Don was also a member of the American Legion Post #263. At the young age of 48, Don proudly became a DJ, and was known as "Mr. DJ".
Don was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Sheena Mason; and his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters: Brenda Goodson and husband David, Sr. of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Judy Mason of Benton, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Hayley Goodson and David Goodson, Jr.; two great-grandchildren: Anna Rose Goodson and Blaine Goodson; brother, Thomas "Randy" Mason and wife Tracy of Benton, Arkansas; special aunt, Patsy Reed; niece, Crystal Mason; and many dear cousins, nieces, and friends who love Don and will miss him always.
Reception visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 20, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton. Funeral service, officiated by Dr. David Brewer, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 21 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
