Donald K. Boswell

January 29, 1935 — October 25, 2019

Donald K. Boswell, age 84, of Glenwood, passed away, Friday, October 25, 2019. He was born on January 29, 1935, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of George Ellsworth Boswell and Vada Jane Shryock Boswell. He married Beatrice "Sue" Stewart on March 18, 1962. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dean Boswell; his sister, Rose Loudermilk; and daughter, Tammy Dee Boswell. Donald was a member of Amity Second Baptist Church. He worked and retired from Hallmark, Inc in Metamora, Illinois after 40 years of service, as a lift truck driver. After retirement he and Sue made their home in Glenwood in 2005. He was a sports enthusiast, loving football, basketball, baseball and fishing; he also enjoyed gardening and wood working. He loved the Lord and his family; spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter was very important to him. But, the love of his life, of 57 years, his precious "Sue" was his forever companion. He is survived by his wife, Sue Boswell of Glenwood; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Bert Entrican of Glenwood and Susan and Phillip Baker of Cape Coral, Florida; his grandchildren, David Entrican, Ronald Entrican, Matthew and Melissa Nicholson, Barbara and Christopher Knoblauch and Melissa Entrican; his great-granddaughter, Jayde Knoblauch; his sister, Karen Krick of East Peoria, Illinois; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Amity Second Baptist Church, with Bro. Jimmy Forsythe officiating.
