Donald Halverson

September 15, 1949 — March 14, 2021

Donald Halverson

Donald Richard Halverson, 71, of Benton, Arkansas went to be with the Lord March 14, 2021.  He was born on September 15, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Donald loved the Lord and was a member of Otter Creek Assembly of God.  He was a true “Family Man” who had a genuine love for his family and worked hard to provide for them.  Donald lived and breathed for his grandgirls.  They were so special to him.  Donald had a passion for animals of all kinds.  He was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially baseball.  He loved clean cars and enjoyed spending many hours detailing them to make sure they were immaculate.  Donald never met a stranger.  His many years of truck driving created friendships all over the country.  Everywhere he and his family went, Donald would find someone he knew and would strike up a conversation.  Donald was faithful to God, his family, and his friends.  This was truly exemplified by his marriage to Kathy.  In September 2020, they renewed their wedding vows at their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

Preceding Donald in death is his father, Herman Zimmerman.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Kathy Halverson of Benton, Arkansas; son, Todd Halverson and wife Priscilla of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandgirls, Julia and Jaclyn Halverson; mother, Jennie (Green) Zimmerman of Bryant, Arkansas; brother, Gerald Zimmerman and wife Stephanie of Mabelvale, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Becky Wadsworth and her husband Rick of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brothers-in-law, Richard Davenport and wife Megan of Maumelle, Arkansas and Steve Kuykendall and wife Maggie; and many family members and friends who love Donald and will miss him always.
