Donald Rex Hall

Ret. SMSgt, Donald Rex Hall, age 86, of Sherwood went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 24, 2024. 

Don was born on November 29, 1937 in New Edinburg, AR to Uko and Margurie (Thompson) Hall. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Don proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 36 years. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist of North Little Rock, AR. Don was a kind, gentle man and would give anyone the shirt off of his back without even being asked.

He married his true love, Joyce Ann on June 21, 1958. They had been married for 59 blissful years until her passing. They had two wonderful sons. Don loved to take his boys hunting and fishing and you would often find them in the garage tinkering with a race car. His grandkids though were the apple of his eye. They could want for nothing as far as he was concerned and stand on any living room table they wanted.

Don is survived by his sons, Jay Hall and Richard Hall (Donya); one brother, Bill Hall; one nephew, Jackie Wayne Hall Jr (Heather); two grandchildren, Beau Hall (Lauren) and Rachael Hall.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, parents Uko and Margurie, brother Jackie Wayne, infant sister (Name Unknown) , brother, Samuel Fay, brother, Daniel Ray and sister, Bernice.

Don’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 2nd, 2024 at 9:30am at Smith Family Funeral Home Sherwood. Burial will follow at 11:00 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland Ave.)
