Donald Dennis

Donald Anderson Dennis, 89, of Maumelle passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born May 22, 1929 in Altus, Oklahoma to Bill and Tulsa Dennis. Donald was an Army veteran, an Eagle Scout, and active in Boy Scouts as a Scout Master. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Jacksonville and North Little Rock, a Little League football coach, and an outdoor sportsman who loved to hunt and fish.  Donald enjoyed riding horses and being a hobby farmer.

Donald is survived by three children, Martha Dennis of Florida, David Dennis of Tennessee and James Dennis (Carla) of Arkansas; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maki; parents, Bill and Tulsa Dennis; his son, Jackie Dennis and brother, Robert Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, 308 W. Main St. Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Cato Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
