Dona Etta (Nichols) Laywell
She went to be with our Lord on 04/28/2022 after battling Cancer and Heart Issues, peacefully at home. She was born 04/13/1937 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Charles L. Nichols and Celia W. (Meredith) Nichols, she graduated Hot Springs High in 1955, where she went on to be a certified X-ray technician for 12 years. She then decided to change her career paths to the one she loved and was trained in the Arts.
This wonderful mother, wife, grandmother was a pillar of the family, that always gave strong love and guidance to all she loved. She now is in the fellowship of our Father and with the ones that predeceased her. as they now rejoice and celebrate the life she lived here. She was very gifted and blessed everyone she could with it. Her talent of floral design and interior decorating excelled to enlighten even the highest of standards. She would except no less than perfect. She would help and encourage other to grow and to follow her ways of always improving. She was also a successful business owner for many years, where they always bloomed by her touch. She was loved by all even in her stern times of correction when necessary and she always demanded respect. She was married to Bill D. Laywell for 45years from 1977, and filled a life of memories where she was always involved in groups like the Red Hat Ladies, The church Choir, and Bridge club. She was predeceased by Her Father Charles, Her Mother Celia, Her Sister Elaine, Her Sister Norma and Her Only Daughter Jodi. Surviving along with her husband Bill are, Step-sons Dewayne and wife Priscilla, John and wife Dorothee, and Ron, Grand-daughters of Devin, Dawn, Summer, Kristen, Heather, John A., Crystal. Great-Grand Children of Colton, Robert, Sophia, Violete, Sapphire, Timothy, John, Blake, Josie, Josslyn, Grayson, Isaiah, Elena. Her nieces Becky, Jennifer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at their church
Oaks Bowery Baptist Church on May 11th 2022 at 10am
Located at 889 Otto Road, Conway AR
Her final resting will be located at Crestview Cemetery in Hot Springs AR
