Dolores Isabel D?Andrea Quinn, 75, or North Little Rock passed away February 1, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with lymphoma.
Dolores was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She received her RN Degree from the Methodist Hospital of Brooklyn School of Nursing in 1952. Her job eventually led her to Remington Arms in Bridgeport where she met her future husband, the late John ?Jack? Quinn, Jr. in 1961. Dolores and Jack were married on October 3, 1964, and later relocated with their family to Arkansas in 1971.
She returned to nursing at Remington Arms in Arkansas, eventually taking a position at the V.A. Hospital, where she remained until her retirement in 1994. She devoted her retirement years to her family and various charitable organizations and was a Stephen Minister and a Eucharistic Minister with Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a caring person who loved animals and would care for any stray that would come to her door. She counted St. Francis as one of her favorite Saints.
She is survived by sons, John J. Quinn III of Dallas, Texas, and Dion Quinn and wife Kathy of St. Louis, Missouri; and daughter Gayle Pearson of Maumelle. She was also blessed with 3 loving grandchildren, Isabelle Pearson, Cameron Quinn, and Abigail Quinn. She is also survived by her two loving sisters, Joetta Fredericks of Seymour, Connecticut, and Marie Berndtson of North Reading, Massachusetts, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, with a vigil service following at 7:00 P.M. at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
