Mrs. Dolores Callaway age 81 of the Midway Community died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Arkadelphia. She was born February 6, 1930 the daughter of the late Irving Glazier and Ann Rees Mazel. Mrs. Callaway was retired from the Arkadelphia Human Development Center after many years and a member of the Malvern First United Methodist Church. Her husband, Howard T. Callaway preceded her in death. The joys of her life were her ten grandchildren, superceded only by her twelve great-grandchildren.
Survivors are her four daughters, Patricia Callaway Daniel and husband, David of Jacksonville, Florida; Cathy Dingler and husband, Michael of Donaldson, Arkansas; Debra Callaway and husband, Jim Darnell of Shawnee, Kansas; Nancy Bednar and husband, Bryon of Lafayette, Colorado; ten grandchildren, Sara Bess, Audrey Eldridge, Courtney Matthews, Frank Bednar, Ross Bednar, Grant Callaway Bednar, Jamie Darnell, Eric Darnell, Megan Avila, Molly Darnell and twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 14th at First United Methodist Church of Malvern with Rev. LaVon Post officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the cure, American Cancer Society or to Volunteer Council at Arkadelphia Human Development Center.
