Born Anna Delphine Jones on April 20, 1932 in Lorain, Ohio to Marion Victor Jones and Hattie E. Stiers, Dixie was the nickname given to her by her father. She was known by Dixie her entire life and would likely not answer if called by Anna. Dixie passed away April 9, 2018 due to dementia.
Dixie worked as a secretary in several public schools, at the Arkansas Department of Education, and the Northeast Arkansas Education Service Cooperative in Walnut Ridge. She loved to sew, read, and work cryptograph word puzzles. She was a Methodist and a member of the Wesley United Methodist church in Conway.
Survivors include two brothers: Buddy (Panza) Jones of Edmond, Oklahoma and Don Jones of Walnut Ridge; son Victor (Robbin) Nutt of Vilonia and daughter Debbie (JD) Hall of Little Rock; grandchildren Mark (Alison) Brandon of Conway, Paige (Tyler) Bradley of Vilonia, Andrew and William Hall of Little Rock.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Brookdale Conway for welcoming mom into their caring community 22 months ago.
