Dickey Dale Jones, 76, of Sherwood, passed away August 17. Dickey was born in Tuckerman, Arkansas on June 16, 1939 to Chester and Froney Jones. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. John Wayne was his hero. He also loved the Razorbacks. He is preceded in death by his father Chester, his mother Froney, brothers, Jack, Bobby, and Chester and sister Patty.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Sue Pugh Jones; sons Bobby of Sherwood, Mick (Oonna) of Miami, FL, David of Forsyth, MO, Billy (Sara) of Sherwood, and Scott of Maumelle; brothers Earl of Batesville, Marcus (Mary) of Mountain View, AR, and sister Nancy (Tom) of Mountain View, AR; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Cemetery in Sherwood.
