Dewey Sowell

Dewey Fredrick Sowell, 75, of Sherwood, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015. Dewey was everyone's friend, kind and always positive. He was a Christian who spent time daily in God's word.
He is survived by his wife of 55years who he met when she was 11 years old, Carolyn Sowell; sons, Dewey Sowell (Diana) and David Sowell (Karen); eleven grandchildren, Jay Sowell, Adam Sowell, Nicole Kennard, Joseph Sowell, Amy Stapleton, John Sowell, Matthew Sowell, Jacob Sowell, Cody Sowell, Dylan Sowell and Desere' Sowell; fourteen great-grandchildren, Isabella Sowell, Gavin Sowell, Alee Sowell, Ella Sowell, Addilynn Sowell, Alyssa Kennard, Elijah Kennard, Emma Sowell, Corban Sowell, Kadence Stapleton, Knox Sowell, Nathaniel Sowell, James Sowell and Dakota Sowell; brother, Gene Floyd; and sister, Mavis Baxter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
