Dessie Harty

Dessie “Dee” Rogers Deason Parsley Harty gained her wings and went to be with her Father and Savior on February 2, 2016. She was loved by many and always saw the best in everyone and everything. She was the daughter of Arthur and Laura Johnson Rogers. Born in Marietta, Oklahoma on July 13, 1938, she was one of eight children and was preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters, Marquita Rose Rabey and Leola Mae Harman, and two brothers, Verlin Eugene Rogers and Arthur Aaron Rogers. She is survived by two brothers, Ira Richard Rogers (Jean) of Houston, Texas and Carl Anthony Rogers (Diana) of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Wilma Claudine Raines of Texas; her two sons, Jackie Joseph Deason and Arthur Dewayne Deason of Mayflower; four daughters, Susan Braud (Steve) and Karen Hensley (Danny) of Mayflower, Cecile Speer (Dave) of Perryville, Arkansas and Amy Parsley Esau of Little Rock; her loving husband, George Harty of Wooster and his two daughters, Gena Andrade (Danny) of Conway and Eva Brown (Gary) of Bee Branch; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, February 8, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Funeral service on Tuesday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m., both at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway. Interment will follow at Mayflower Cemetery.
