Derek Lee Collins, 35, of Conway, Arkansas passed away February 27, 2016. He was born June 30, 1980 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Michael Ray Collins and Coresa Morton.
Derek was a loving and dedicated son, father, and brother. He worked hard in the oil field. Derek enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved life and is remembered for always laughing. Derek was goofy and would often write funny poems for his family. He was fun, loving, and happy all the time.
Preceding Derek in death are his grandparents, Louis and Evelyn Gossage; grandmother, Irene Collins; and aunt, Teresa Burks.
Left to cherish his memories are mother, Coresa Morton; father, Michael Collins and wife Sue; children, Logan Seth Collins, Ethan Louis Collins, Paizlee Lana Collins, Cannon Collins, Alexa Whitbey, Broady Whitbey, and Carson Whitbey; sister, Heather Gibson and husband Jason; grandfather, Gene Collins; uncle, Tony Burks; cousins, Brandon Burks and Jason Burks; niece, Kaylee Gibson; nephew, Jay Gibson; and many other family members and friends who loved Derek and will miss him always.
