Denver McRae

Denver McRae, age 67, of Albert Pike, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 23, 2022.

He was born on February 24, 1955, in Bonham, Texas, the son of Bobbie Eugene McRae and Wanda Deloris Horn McRae.  On April 6, 1990, he was married to Janice Lynn Lowery.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Ottis and Lula Horn and Clifford and Era McRae.

Denver was a true man of faith, who loved his Lord and Savior with all his heart and was a faithful member of the Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs.  He was truly a jack-of-all trades and could honestly do anything at any time and was always there to help anyone in need.  Everyone who knew Denver would agree that he was a genuinely great guy with a kind and loving heart.

Above all, Denver deeply loved his family and his greatest joy in life was when he was spending time with them.  There are not enough words to say how broken hearted our family and friends are that we have lost a great man, but we do take comfort in knowing that he is now walking those streets of gold in his cowboy hat and boots.

Denver is survived by his loving wife, Janice McRae of Albert Pike; his children and their spouses, John McRae of Glenwood, Bobie DeAnn and Jason Grintz of Ivanhoe, Texas and Jamie Marie and Jason Sidor of Alexander; his faithful chihuahua dog-child, Coco McRae of Albert Pike; his grandchildren and their spouses, Garrett and Gyana Grintz and Jason Samuel and Caraline Grintz; his great-granddaughter, Adalee Rose Grintz; his special aunt, Sharon Shields of Glenwood; his special brother/cousin, Nick Fowler and his wife, Rachel, and their children, Brandon, Ty, Bailey, Whitley and Drew, and their family members; his very special friends, Brady Gore, Brad Rudolph and Gerrald Phillips; his sister and brother-in-law, Debby and Tim Bean of Caddo Gap; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
