Dennis Hartwick

Dennis Wames Hartwick, 69, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008. He was an active member of Amboy United Methodist Church, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a retired employee of Regions Bank. An assistant scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop #431 North Little Rock. A recipient of the District Award of Merit, Wood Badge Beads, Philmont Arrow Head Patch and The Cross and Flame. He was also a volunteer with Amboy food pantry.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dayron and Dorothy Hartwick, of North Little Rock; uncle, Wames Qualls, of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Vida Hartwick; and two brothers, Derrell and Dibrell Hartwick.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock especially 6-C.
Memorials may be made to Amboy United Methodist Church, 321 E. Military, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118 or Quapaw Area Council of the Boys Scout of America, 3220 Cantrell Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
