Dennis Archer

Dennis Michael "Mike" Archer, of North Little Rock, AR, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at the age of 66.
Mike was born on February 28, 1949 in Little Rock, AR to Luther Franklin and Bessie Archer. He attended Metropolitan High School c/o 1968, and lived most of his life in and around North Little Rock. Mike was a North Little Rock Firefighter for 20 years, before retiring in 1995. He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. Mike was a kind, gentle man, who loved his daughters and grandchildren with all of his heart, and was an avid Arkansas Razorback and St Louis Cardinals fan. He loved music, dabbled with the guitar, and spent hours listening to music from the 60s and 70s. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing being at the top of the list, watching sports, playing poker, and visiting the casino on occasion. He was an amazing cook, who was well known for his chili. He was a man of few words, but loved to make those around him laugh with jokes and stories. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Mike is survived by his two daughters, Brook and her husband Andrew Sanchez, and Amanda Archer, from his first marriage to Barbara Tucker; brothers, Terry Archer and wife Marie, SC Archer and wife Sandy; sister, Pat Sanders; grandchildren, Samantha and Caden Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert F. Archer and Paul T. Archer; sister, Jackie J. Archer; and by his beloved wife, Susan J. Archer.
