Delphia Louise Simmons

Delphia Simmons, 90, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2023. Del was born February 17, 1933, in Enola, AR to the late Robert D. Yant and Velva Smith Yant.

She was a long time member of Geyer Springs First Baptist and a current member of East Union Missionary Church. She retired from GMAC.

Del will be remembered for her love, kindness, her faith in Jesus and her greatest joy of being Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed many games of Wahoo with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even though she loved them, you wouldn’t catch her letting them win.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; and seven of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Thomas (Todd); three grandchildren, Drew Thomas (Danielle), Luke Thomas (Cayla), and Brooke Thomas; seven great-grandchildren, Braxton, Adison, Chloe, Harper, Paige, Maysen, and Eden; brother, Landon Yant; and sister Rue Yount.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Reyes, Josh Roberts, Colby Blackstock, Johnnie Swaims, Scott Sumbles, and Braxton Moffett. Honorary pallbearers will be Hector Reyes and Troy Campbell.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11:00 am at East Union Missionary Church, 20422 N Springlake Rd, Hensley, AR. Followed by interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, 7401 AR-5, Alexander, AR.
