Delmar Marvin Mitchell, 62, a lifelong resident of North Little Rock died Monday, April 25, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 24, 1948 to Thomas Albert Mitchell and Edith Irene (Belcher) Mitchell.
He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran, was retired from the Arkansas Air National Guard and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years of service. He was an avid golfer, a Razorback fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was a member of Park Hill Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a son, Chad Mitchell of North Little Rock; two brothers, Thomas Mitchell of Bakersfield, California and Alanson Mitchell of Perris, California; a sister, Myra (Mitchell) Morris of Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Miles Cook. Burial to follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
