Della Ann Henthorn, age 77, of Mount Ida, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.
She was born June 22, 1943, in Amity, the daughter of Frank Tigue and Barbara Watts Tigue. She married the love of her life, Lindell “Tom” Henthorn, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded death by her parents; her children, Travis Henthorn, Kaye Sigman and Mona Barkman; her grandsons, Toby Henthorn and Christopher Barkman; and her siblings, James Tigue, Wesley Tigue, Floyd Tigue and Helen Spears.
A homemaker, Della enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and her grandchildren. She loved being outdoors, fishing, and enjoyed picking on everyone, including the staff of Montgomery County Nursing Home.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Tom & Brandi Henthorn of DeQueen, John Henthorn of Mount Ida, Daniel and Carla Henthorn, Joyce and Buddy Lambert and Ricky and Licia Henthorn, all of Amity; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Edward Tigue of Amity and Curtis Rufus and Rose Tigue of Hot Springs; one sister, Barbara Lou Cox of Murfreesboro; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 31, 2021, in Coker Cemetery with Bro. Tony Hill officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 66% total occupancy at any one time in the funeral home chapel, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times. Social distancing should be observed or a face covering worn for the graveside service. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, been exposed to anyone positive for COVID-19 or are waiting on the results of a COVID-19 test, you should not attend any services.
Pallbearers will be Shane Henthorn, Michael Henthorn, Kevin Jo Tigue, Timmy Tigue, Mike Wilson, and Charles Spears.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
