Dell Peppers, age 95, of Norman, died Monday, December 12, 2011. She was born on February 28, 1916, at Glenwood, the daughter of J. W. Montgomery and Vesta Kennedy Montgomery. On July 2, 1934, she was married to W. R. "Dick" Peppers who preceded her in death on May 14, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dennis Peppers. Always a Christian in her faith, in earlier years, she attended the Assembly of God. Later, she and her husband became members of the Barr Memorial Presbyterian Church in Norman. She is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, William Don and Marquetta Peppers and Paul and Treva Peppers all of Glenwood, and Arvedella Nash Peppers of DeQueen; six grandchildren and their spouses, Kelli and Tommy Gannon, Steven and Margaret Peppers, Ki and Holly Peppers, David and Rhonda Peppers, Penny and Rick Weibe and Lacy and Rusty Chivers; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with the Revs. Bob Wiyott and Carolyn Beane officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dr. David Peppers, Steven Peppers, Ki Peppers, Tommy Gannon and Rick Weibe. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
