Benton

Debra June Humes, born on October 16, 1954, in Jamestown, New York, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. She lived a life marked by dedication, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family.

Debra was a hard worker who spent many years in various roles, including owning a plant nursery, a carpet cleaning business, and a janitorial service. However, her most cherished role was that of a stay-at-home mother, where she devoted herself to caring for her family and providing them with an environment filled with love and nurturing.

Her family was the focal point of her existence. Debra was not only a loving wife to her husband of 40 years, Harold Humes of Benton, Arkansas, but also an amazing mother and a doting Nana. She constantly showered her children with affection, fostering a close-knit family bond that will be remembered fondly. Debra's steadfast support and enduring presence made her the rock and glue that held her family together. Despite facing numerous challenges, including 34 surgeries and various medical complications, she bore her struggles with remarkable strength and tenacity, never once complaining or giving up on her loved ones.

Debra is survived by her beloved husband Harold, and her children: Lori I. Paine-Crook and husband Randy of Pineville, MO; Roger Darwin Paine, Jr. and wife Sara Farnsworth-Paine of Jamestown, New York; Rebecca "Becky" Humes of Benton, Arkansas; and Shannon Mounger and husband Doug of Benton, Arkansas. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Stephanie Crecco, Sara Robbins, Josh Robbins, Stormy Henderson and wife Mandy, Nicqura Murray, Alea Staton and husband Blake, Logan Mounger, Jacie Jackson(Joe), Dossen Jackson, Olivia Mounger, Madelynn Mounger, and Ella Rose Mounger, along with great-granddaughters Mallory Staton and Taylor Mae Henderson, and one great-grandson on the way, Koooper Staton. She is also survived by her siblings: Robert Kuneman and wife Margaret, Leigh Cantafio and husband Sam, and Dottie Shaw and husband Kyle; her stepmother, Joy Chamberlain; her best friend, Sharon Hancock; and many family members and friends who held Debra dear to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Wilson Chamberlain; mother, Joan Helen Kuneman; brother, John Chamberlain; niece, Jeri Nash; nephews: Bobby Wilson and Josh Humes; and brother-in-law, Ervin Osborn.

Debra June Humes will be profoundly missed, but her spirit of love, resilience, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
