Deborah Anne Clayton "Nana," age 66, of Friendship, formerly of Sparkman, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was born September 29, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Richard and Glenda Fleming. Anne was a member of Sparkman First Baptist Church. She graduated from Sparkman High School in 1974. Her work career included General Dynamics in Camden and later Danfoss in Arkadelphia, where she worked from 1994 until she retired in September 2018. After retiring, Anne loved working in her flower garden, shopping with her daughters and sisters, and was very devoted to her grandchildren, attending school events, recitals, and birthday parties.
While our family struggles to cope with the loss of our precious mom, Nana, sister, we realize it isn't our loss alone. Anne was a constant bright light to everyone in her life and anyone she would encounter during the day; with a beautiful smile and a genuine kind word for everyone. A sense of peace and joy followed her through life and radiated from her. Gone from any pain or struggles of this life, she will continue on in our hearts.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith to her children: Trish (Terry) Spradlin; Christi (Noah) Davis; Daniel (Lee Ann) Clayton; her pride and joy grandchildren: Gage (Rachel) Pennington, Wyatt (Taylor) Pennington, Kate Spradlin, Jack Spradlin, Aiden Witherington, Emberli Witherington, Novalee Davis, Jordis Clayton, Trey Clayton and Sadie Clayton; sisters: Yevonne (Bill) Conrad; Arlene (Jasper) Goza; and brother, Rickey Fleming; her longtime sidekick, Uno; and many cherished nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 6, 2021 at 1 pm at First Baptist Church in Sparkman with Bro. Daniel Clayton and Bro. James Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Sparkman.
Memorials may be made to New Outlook Cancer Recovery Program CHI St. Vincent or to Hope for Hannah 601 Main St. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
