Deborah “Debbie” Kent Harper passed away February 18, 2020. Debbie is survived by husband of 29 years, James Harper, and her son, Sam (19 years old). She is also survived by her mother, Marge Kent of Little Rock, her father, Joe Kent and his wife Judy of Little Rock, brother, David Kent of Ruskin, Florida, and two nieces, Kali Kent of North Little Rock and Natalie Kent of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Debbie was a Certified Public Accountant and even though she was retired she was always willing to help people prepare their taxes and refused to take money for her work.
Debbie’s singular purpose in life was the apple of her eye, her son, Sam. When Sam played football in elementary school-she was affectionately called the “H20 Mom” because she always made sure the team had lots of water. As Sam progressed into Junior High and High School Debbie loved going to his games and cheering on the CAC Mustangs.
Debbie was also proud of Sam on him starting Arkansas Tech in the Fall of 2019. She loved talking to Sam everyday about his classes and how his day had been.
To James, Debbie was a Faithful wife and best friend. Through 29 years of marriage she had been through ups and downs. She was James’ constant companion and love.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Central Arkansas Christian Schools on her behalf.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24th at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with visitation one hour prior to service starting at 10:00 a.m.
