DeAnna Terry

DeAnna Lynn Terry of Melissa, Texas passed away January 20, 2022 at the age of 50.  She was born on May 18, 1971 to Donald R. Weese, Sr. and Joan (Miles) Weese in Springfield, Missouri.  DeAnna was a 1989 graduate of Central Arkansas Christian School in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  After high school, she studied at University of Central Arkansas where she graduated with a degree in accounting in 1993.  DeAnna’s work moved her back and forth between Arkansas and Texas.  After moving back to Arkansas, she met her husband Curtis A. Terry, Jr. at a church function.  Later, DeAnna and Curt started dating and they married on December 28, 2001 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  She and Curt lived in Arkansas for a while before moving to Kansas and finally settling in Texas.  DeAnna was an avid reader.  Her favorites included Nora Roberts novels and Scottish historical romance novels as well.  DeAnna loved helping animals. This was on display when she volunteered at the Legacy Humane Society, LHS. DeAnna enjoyed doting and loving on her own puppies, Thor and Minnie.  She also enjoyed the thrill of the road.  DeAnna admired fast cars and loved driving them.  The energy of stepping on the gas and feeling the car lurch forward was all she needed to put a smile on her face. DeAnna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her. The family will remember her smile and time spent together on the beach listening to the waves.

DeAnna is survived by her husband of 20 years, Curt Terry of Melissa, Texas; daughters, Amanda Scott of Melissa, Texas, Chelsea Thompson and husband, Mike of North Little Rock and Kirbi Wurl and husband, Jordan of Whitehall; grandchildren, Lincoln and Nolan of Whitehall; mother, Joan Weese of North Little Rock; brother, Don Weese, Jr. of North Little Rock,; sister, Sherry Missey and husband, Dale of Harrison; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald R. Weese, Sr.

Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday January 27, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Funeral service is 10:00 AM, Friday, January 28, 2022 at Sherwood First Baptist Church with Dr. Ricky Lee officiating.  Pallbearers include: Don Weese, Jr., Don Weese III, John Sebeniecher, Blake Maynard, Curtis Terry, Sr., and Chris Terry. Interment will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
