Dean Marie Koch, age 92, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
She was born on January 31, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles Wray and Helen Holford Wray. On February 14, 1948, she married George Koch, who preceded her in death in 2002 after 54 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her parents; son, George Allen Koch; granddaughter, Debra Mullins; four sisters; and one brother.
Dean was a Christian and of the Lutheran faith. She worked for Wal-Mart and K-Mart in customer service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who studied the bible and looked forward to going to be with the Lord every day. She had the best oatmeal cookies and her home often smelled like homemade hot bread. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Reggie Koch and her daughter-in-law, Mary Koch, both of North Little Rock; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Jon Winrod of Hydaburg, Alaska and Carolyn and Harry Mullins of Hot Springs; twelve grandchildren, James Koch, Anthony Koch, Greg Mullins, Jeffrey Mullins, Genevieve Amyx, Jonathan Winrod, Nathaniel Winrod, Gideon Winrod, Susanna Marczak, Simeon Winrod, Josiah Winrod, Mathias Winrod, Paul Koch and Heather McCarthy; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Jim Mullins officiating in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home.
