Dawn McElderry

Dawn Renee McElderry, 53, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Dawn was born January 22, 1963 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dawn was a 1981 graduate of North Little Rock Northeast High School. She was currently serving as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and completed 24 years of faithful service to her country. She was proud to be a member of the Chief Petty Officers Association.
She is survived by her son, Jared McElderry (Tiffany); daughter, Misti Polono; father, Kenneth Cross; grandchildren, Hunter Alan McElderry and Mason Kyle McElderry; and step-brother, Joe Timothy Wise (Vicki).
She was preceded in death by her mother, Deanna Schmidt; brother, Kenneth Dwayne Cross; and son, Dustin Shawn McElderry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Monday, at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
