Dawn Barnes passed away on September 12, 2023, at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 14, 1970, in Flint, Michigan. Dawn's smile was radiant and had the power to light up any room she entered. She was known for her kind-hearted nature and unwavering care for others.
Dawn dedicated several years of her life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she touched the lives of many patients with her compassion and selflessness. Her nurturing spirit shone through in every aspect of her career, leaving a lasting impact on those under her care.
Family was everything to Dawn, and she adored her children and relatives immensely. Her favorite place to be was always at home, surrounded by the love and warmth of her loved ones. Dawn cherished every moment spent with them and created countless cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Beyond her dedication to her family and career, Dawn had a vibrant personality that was uniquely hers. She had an affinity for butterflies, elephants, and all things related to safaris. Additionally, she found joy in watching scary movies that would send chills down your spine. These hobbies gave her a sense of joy and excitement.
Dawn's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. In her passing, she leaves behind a life partner, Robert Jenkins of Benton, Arkansas; two children: Mario Barnes of Benton, Arkansas and Lisa Lyn Barnes of Denver, Colorado; a brother, Robert Head from Malvern, Arkansas; a sister, Shawn Morgan from Benton Arkansas; as well as numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
To honor Dawn's memory and pay tribute to the beautiful woman she was in life, services will be held at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, located at 322 N Market Street in Benton, Arkansas. The visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on September 21, 2023. This will be an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together, share fond memories, and offer their condolences.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Smith -Benton Funeral Home. This event will commemorate Dawn's life, highlighting her impact in the community and the love she shared with everyone around her.
Dawn Barnes may have left this world too soon, but the mark she made on the lives of those who knew her is undeniably everlasting. She will be remembered as a caring mother, a dedicated healthcare professional, and a woman whose kindness touched the lives of so many.
