David Zink passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 95 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Born on March 17, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, he led a life characterized by hard work and passion.
David was not only dedicated to his career as a switchman on the Southern Pacific Railroad, but also found joy in his hobbies. He loved fixing old clocks and took great pride in restoring vintage Chris-Craft wooden boats.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Zink, and his brother, Louis Zink.
He is survived by his son, David Zink of Royal, AR, and daughters Laura Johnson and Leila Campbell, both of Hot Springs, AR, and Leisa Alvarado of Yucaipa, CA, and his cousin, JoAnne Jablonski of Toledo, OH. David's legacy continues through his six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
