David Brent Tidwell

David Brent Tidwell, age 51, of Glenwood, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

He was born on October 26, 1970, in Hot Springs, the son of Harley Dale Tidwell and Gail Loreda Ward Tidwell.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewin and Myrtis Tidwell.

He was a member of Community Bible Baptist Church, was a graduate of Glenwood High School and worked for several years at Ouachita Mountain Spring Water Company.  David will be best remembered as the voice of the Centerpoint Knights Football teams on Caddo Country Radio, where he and his best friend, Chris Lindsey, did their play-by-play calls for many years.  David enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Razorback fan.

Most importantly, David was a wonderful father and son, who loved his family with all his heart and especially loved spending time with his children and was always so proud of everything they did.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all his many Centerpoint fans.

He is survived by his two sons, David Tyler Tidwell of Conway and Trevin Dale Tidwell of Hot Springs; his two daughters, Lindsey Michelle Luekenga and her spouse, Zane Rueben, of Phoenix, Arizona and Leah Grace Tidwell of Arkadelphia; his three grandchildren, Henry, Maisie and Emma Luekenga; his parents, Harley and Gail Tidwell of Glenwood; and many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bruce Tidwell and Bro. Tony Hill officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday, 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Tidwell, Trevin Tidwell, Steven Ward, Chris Lindsey, Denny Jester and Tanner Garner.
