David Nelson
David "Neil" Nelson, 69, passed away January 17, 2020 in Little Rock, AR. He was born April 10, 1950 in Pine Bluff, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Bray and Gilbert Nelson; step-father, Warren Bray and sisters, Kathleen Bray and Ginger Cox.
He is survived by his children, Tyler (Veronica) Benton, Eric (Jessica) Nelson, Natalie (Jerry) Burr and Selena Nelson; grandchildren, Tristen Benton, Elissa Nelson and Zachary Burr; and a host of family and friends.
Neil served as a Navy Corpsman in the Vietnam War. He attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Master's Degree in Social Work. He loved all sports and was a devoted Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
The family would like to thank the staff of Little Rock and North Little Rock VA Hospitals for their care and kindness over the last several years. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, 4300 W. 7th Street, Little Rock, AR 72205.
