David Allen Green

David Allen Green, 60, passed away on April 14, 2025, in Benton, Arkansas. Born on July 30, 1964, in San Diego, California, David was known for his warm and welcoming heart. He graduated from Glen Rose High School in 1983, where he made friends and lasting memories as a football player.

David was loved by all who knew him and was the embodiment of the adage "never met a stranger". He was a generous soul, always ready to lend a helping hand and give the shirt off his back to those who needed it. His home was a gathering place for family and friends, many of whom would stop by just to spend time with him. David had an inner light that just drew people to him and welcomed them in.

An avid animal lover, David had a unique bond with nature. He was what many people considered to be an animal whisperer and even raised two deer that roamed freely on his property, but they would always come to him when he called for them. His green thumb allowed him to grow productive gardens, and he took great joy in sharing the fruits of his labor with others. In addition to his love for gardening, David enjoyed deer hunting and digging for arrowheads.

David is survived by his daughter, Holly (Kenny) Castle; grandson, Jasper Carman; parents, Richard Green and Shirlee Johnson; and siblings: Robert (Iris) Stanley, Danny (Sue) Green, Michael (Johnette) Green, Lisa (Tim) Taylor, and Dee Ann (Bradley) McDougal; a host of nieces and nephews; many other close family and friends; as well as his beloved fur babies: Bo, Luke, and Daisy. David is preceded in death by his grandparents.
